iPhone Product Photography Hack
When my husband showed me the above photo on his iPhone, I thought he had used an app like Superimpose to create the background effect, but actually no.
The hack involved simply using the wallpaper of his laptop screen as a backdrop.
So how can you do the same? Find a photo that compliments your product on your computer and insert it into your computer desktop screen. Place your product on top of the keyboard on a solid surface (he used an iPhone box).
To counteract the background light from the computer screen, you’ll need a source of light hitting your product from the front at a 45 degree angle. He used my $16 Selfie Smartphone Mini Ring Light (this is an affiliate link and I get a small commission if you purchase with this link). This ring light has come in handy for not only photography situations where only a little light was needed, but also for live-streaming and using Snapchat filters at night in bed. 😛
The camera used was from his iPhone 6s Plus.
So what do you think? Could you use this iPhone product photography hack for your online business?
